Traditional children’s clothing and accessories were often imbued with secret motifs symbolising blessings of good fortune, longevity and health for their wearer. Such auspicious motifs are still being incorporated in traditional costumes and accessories today, which illustrate the continuity of Chinese values and beliefs even in overseas Chinese communities such as Singapore.

Learn more about the special motifs and symbolism on Chinese traditional clothing and accessories in this sharing session conducted by private collector, author and independent curator of Chinese decorative arts, Ms. Sally Yu.

Conducted in English. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration required. View more details here.
