Explore the colourful world of secret motifs and symbols on children’s clothing and accessories from the late Qing to early Republican period. Many of these motifs seek to bestow blessings of good fortune, longevity and health on their young wearers, while others confer protection from harm. By wearing clothing and accessories which are imbued with auspicious blessings, children thus carry these unspoken messages of love, hope and affection.

Learn more about the collection of traditional children’s clothing and accessories in this sharing session conducted by the Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen’s Mansion.

Conducted in Mandarin. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration required. View more details here.
